Starigrad Paklencia

Starigrad Paklenica is a village and small port on the coast of the Velebit channel. It is also the starting point for the national park Paklenica. Miles of sandy beaches make it suitable for families with children, while mountain Velebit and the national park are regularly visited by cavers and hikers. There are also opportunities for adventurous travellers to enjoy caving, kayaking and rafting.

A leisurely tour of Starigrad will also lead you to discover landmarks such as the watchtower of Vecka Kula and Paklarić Fortress, once built for the defence against the Turks. Stari Grad offers an active yet relaxed holiday.
