This small village located on the Makarska Riviera and surrounded by the Biokovo Mountains has the feel of a traditional holiday resort. A place where one can relax to the fullest by spending days basking on the beach, enjoying wonderful meals at local restaurants and taking a leisurely stroll along the promenade.
Stretching over 3km, Tucepi is home to one of Croatia’s largest beach resorts, featuring several pebbly beaches with turquoise water and shallow waves. Stylish cafes, ice cream parlours, restaurants, and hotels dot the shoreline.
But this chocolate-box town offers more than just beautiful beaches. Perched high above Tucepi, Mount Biokovo Nature Park, boasts various hiking trails, thriving wildlife as well as the spectacular Skywalk, a watching platform situated 1,228m above sea level.
Just like many other towns along the beautiful Croatian coastline, the town also has a lively cultural scene. From early July through to the end of September, there are plenty of outdoor concerts and plays going on. Toochepin, a small rock festival, also takes place in August.
The coastal town of Podgora is a very popular destination in Croatia and is located in the heart of the Makarska Riviera. The resort is most famous for its beautiful pebble beaches and its lovely promenade along the sea with all necessary facilities, including restaurants, beach bars, rental of deck chairs, jet-skis & pedalos.
