- 2.5 hours prior to departure in Majorca, Portugal, Ibiza, Malaga & Tenerife
Minimum check-in time
Minimum check-in time for all flights is 1 hour prior to departure.
For flight only customers please check our website 24 hours prior to departure where any change in the scheduled departure time will be clearly posted.
Final flight details for all FlyDirect departures will be shown on your pre-departure information issued by email approximately 1 week prior to departure.
Occasionally, we might have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor and we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date.
Luggage
Flying to Costa del Sol, Majorca, Ibiza and Portugal
Included in your flight price:
1x Hold luggage
- Max. weight: 20kg
- Max. dimensions: 90cm x 75cm x 43cm
1x Cabin bag
- Max. weight: 10kg
- Max. dimensions: 56cm x 45cm x 25cm
Any additional item (handbag, laptop bag) must fit inside your cabin bag. Total combined weight must not exceed 10 kg.
- Oversized/excess weight bags will incur airport excess baggage charges – paid at check-in.
- Please note that all luggage in addition to the standard allowance is carried subject to final load on the day.
- Infants under 2 years of age are entitled to 10kg hold luggage and in addition can take a pushchair and/or car seat.
Flying to Tenerife
Included in your flight price:

- Max. weight: 23kg
- Max. dimensions: 100cm x 80cm x 50cm
Please note that the 23kg limit will be strictly adhered to, in order to ensure that all checked baggage may be carried on the flight.
1x Cabin bag
- Max. weight: 8kg
- Max. dimensions: 55cm x 45cm x 25cm
Any additional item (handbag, laptop bag) must fit inside your cabin bag. Total combined weight must not exceed 8kg.
- Infants under 2 years of age are entitled to 10kg hold luggage and in addition can take a pushchair and/or car seat.
Extra Legroom Seats
Subject to availability it is possible to upgrade to extra legroom seats for only £50pp return on our summer routes with BA CityFlyer and for our winter routes with airBaltic the price is £60pp.
These seats carry restrictions as to who can occupy specific seats due to safety criteria. Restrictions include:
- Infants under 2 years of age
- Children under 12 years of age
- Passengers with reduced mobility
- Passengers with visual or hearing impairments that could affect communication during an emergency
- Pregnant passengers
- Passengers requiring a seat belt extension
- Passengers unable to understand or communicate in English or Spanish

- BA CityFlyer will be providing a complimentary drink and snack on board this service for our clients travelling to the Costa del Sol, Majorca, Ibiza, Portugal.
- There is no additional buy on board service available, however passengers are welcome to take food & soft drinks purchased in the airport on board with them.
Flying to Tenerife
- airBaltic will be providing a buy on board service for our clients travelling to Tenerife.
- Please note that this service may be adapted or removed at any time, depending on product availability at the departure points.
