About Fuengirola

Nestled between Benalmadena and Marbella, Fuengirola has grown from a traditional fishing village into a bustling resort that welcomes visitors year after year. While the town is lively, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, it has retained its charm in the narrow side streets, historic squares and classic tapas bars that give it a distinctly Spanish feel.
Fuengirola boasts around five miles of beach, which can be thought of as eight separate stretches of sand. Sunbeds are available along the coast, and there’s a wide range of watersports for those seeking adventure. For a more relaxed pace, the beachfront chiringuitos — small cafés and restaurants overlooking the sea — are perfect spots to enjoy a leisurely meal or simply watch the waves roll in.
